2. why do we need such a body?

We need such a body because they can represent people working in the digital services industry. Instead of lobbying to governments as individuals, AIMIA can lobby with the support of  lots of members in the digital industry.

3.  What do they provide in the digital media area?

They provide the following to their members education and training, Industry research, business and consumer development, forum and networking events, awards program and insurance and legal services.

I’m interested in the Websites and application developer for the ABC. It sounds like the most interesting in the Careers Centre and has good pay! The job’s description shows that you’ll be developing and improving their internet TV service, iView. You would also be required to be skilled in the mobile apps department. The job interests me because app and website developments sounds really interesting and would be a good skill to have in the digital world. Too bad it’s in Sydney though!

There are some interesting jobs available like web developer, digital photographer and film animator

Digital video-sound editor – they edit the video sound for multimedia products.

Graphic designer – they use software to edit various graphics and other media into the multimedia package design

intructional designer – designs educational products

Author-based programmer – they use multimedia technologies to design and assemble a variety of images etc for a product

Art & computing studies will help you get a good foundation for these jobs.

8 Which career would you consider pursuing after leaving high school? Explain why. If not why not?

I would probably pursue a career in the ICT industry as I love technology and am a very regular user of it and find it a very interesting subject and something that I would like to take further.

This is my print project, it is a DVD cover for a company DG that Olivier, Gus and I made. We all made different things for the same company. I really enjoyed this project as we had lots of freedom to use the skills we’ve learnt this term and make something amazing with them.

for my application design I worked with Mr Bevis on designing a app that would solve everyday problems students face at Sandringham college. Some of the problems we solved was allowing access to teacher contact information if a student was ever in need to talk to the teacher or hand overdue homework to them. Another problem Bevis and I solved was creating a easy useable homework table so that students will always know what homework they have due and never have to get another detention. Adam and I did most of our work together, like drawing out the design on the templates or filming our stop motion, I believe Adam and I was able to work really efficiently together and was able to finish with quality work. Our feedback that we received from numerous students really helped our final design, without their feedback there would have been many holes in our final design. If Adam and I was to do this again I would defiantly take more time in the drawings on our templates and add more detail in our templates, I would also next time film with the templates in the middle of the screen so that it would focus the attention on the app design.

Today Adam Bevis and I have started our project for multimedia on creating a paper prototype app. We first brainstormed some ideas for our project and formed a flow chart on how the app would work and function. We Manged to finish the flow chart today and are up to designing how the app will work and look in the phone templates.

A digital device is an electronic device which uses discrete, numerable data and processes for all its operations. The alternative type of device is analogue, which uses continuous data and processes for any operations. Any device which uses a computer of any sort in its operations is at least partially digital.

I firstly took a photo on the computer of myself, then changed the filter and background to match my wanted theme. I then saved a image on google for my wanted sign:

I have chosen multimedia for school as over the last few years I’ve grown a interest in how games and modern technology works and runs. I would also like to be able to improve my skills in multimedia and learns new things.
